The Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Advanced-Open-Water-Header

Are you ready to advance your open water diving skills and deepen your underwater exploration? Not only will you be able to explore and experience different types of diving, Patriot Dive Center's Advanced Open Water Diver course allows you to enhance your knowledge, skills, comfort, and experience through a series of 5 different dives.  And the best part is you don't have to wait; you can move right from your Open Water Diver course into the Advanced Open Water course.

How do Our Courses Work?

The Advanced Open Water course begins with a short orientation held prior to the registration deadline for that course. During the orientation we discuss the different types of dives we could do during the course. In addition to a Deep dive and Underwater Navigation dive, you will decide on which of the other 3 types of dive you would like to experience, which may include a Night dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy dive, Search & Recovery dive, Underwater Photography dive, Wreck dive, or many others.

We will also hold a lecture a few days prior to our weekend of diving to discuss the dives we decided on, and further discuss the details of the dives we will be conducting. Unique to this course is that each of these 5 dives can count as credit towards the first dive of the corresponding Specialty Diver course.  Once you have completed Advanced Open Water diver, for example, you will only need 3 more deep dives to reach the Deep Diver Specialty rather than 4 more dives.

The Advanced Open Water course may also inspire you to move onto the special rating of PADI Rescue Diver and even onto PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest rating attainable as a recreational scuba diver.
