PADI Emergency First Responder

  

Emergency First Response training at Patriot Dive Center focuses on CPR and O2 provider courses by building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study manuals, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and allow you start learning right away. These skills are not only good to know for diving, but they can also be used in every day life.

EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings.

Prerequisites None
Minimum Age None. Must be able to understand and complete the performance requirements.
Required Materials Emergency First Responder Workbook (included)
Provided Equipment CPR Manikin, AED Trainer, and First Aid Supplies
Course Cost $139 includes Lecture, Workshop, AED Training, Learning Material, and 2 year certification.

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider

CPR and O2 Provider

Knowing how and when to use emergency oxygen is a great skill to have and means you’re ready to help others should the need arise. Becoming a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider lets you breathe easy knowing that you can recognize scuba diving illnesses treatable with emergency oxygen, and are prepared to offer aid.

You’ll learn about dive injuries, different types of emergency oxygen equipment and safety considerations when using oxygen. Then you’ll practice:

  • Assembling and disassembling emergency oxygen equipment.
  • Deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve on a breathing diver.
  • Using a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver.

Minimum Age None. Must be able to complete all performance requirements.
Required Materials Oxygen Provider DVD and Manual, and Non-rebreather mask (included)
Recommend Books Encyclopedia of Recreational SCUBA Diving
